Library Event @Manorhamilton

Manorhamilton Library Event an event with presented RTÉ Jr. celeb. Jay Ryan the creator and star of “Living with a Fairy”

Jay will provide an interactive session of storytelling for pupils in 1st - 6th classes on  Wednesday 31^st May  10am in Manorhamilton Library. 

Pupils will travel by coach to the event, bring library card as we will have some browse time after the workshop. 

Parents will get an epayment request on Aladdin. 

Ms. Cullen will organise a nice school-based activity for the infants back at the school.

Another great turnout this evening in what turned out to be a lovely evening at the Bee Park, Manorhamilton for Cumann na mBunscol Leitrim, Division 5, 7 a Side. 

We even picked up a very special mascot!  

The washing machines in North Leitrim will be hopping tonight!

Cumann na mBunscol @cnmbleitrim @LeckaunNS vs Glenfarne N.S.

Huge support at Dromahair Astro this evening for Cumann na mBunscol Leitrim, Division 5, 7 a Side. Some fantastic football skills and fitness on display on a beautiful evening. The team have gone from strength with each game and teamwork really shone through from each and every one of our players. 

Glenfarne N.S. drove hard right until the final whistle, got some lovely scores and had huge support from the sideline. 

Many thanks to the helpers on hand fixing goals, stepping out pitch, fetching keys, collecting footballs, washing jerseys  and to parents and teachers for all those wonderful words for their own team and the opposing team during play.

Leckaun National School Fundraiser
" The Leckaun Lotto "

Welcome to " The Leckaun Lotto ". This is a fundraising initiative and the money raised will be used to directly support your children's education. Half of all monies raised will go towards converting our playing pitch locally known as ‘The Bank’ into an All-Weather Astroturf Pitch which will be accessible to the children all year round. This facility will give the children of Leckaun National School a lot more space to play, develop their fitness and movement skills. The remainder will be used to fund resources for our school including sports equipment, classroom resources, dance classes and Science and Heritage events.

We hope that the weekly option of 1 line for €2.50 will allow everybody to contribute. Please pass the word on and invite friends and family.

It would be hugely appreciated if you can contribute €5 for 3 lines, and you never know you might just win!

CPSMA Ireland’s Got Saints Competition from @LeckaunNS @CatholicPrimary

We really enjoyed this activity - each of us picked a Saint each, we read about our saint and some of us worked in groups. Well the results speak for themselves - just Mrs. Gilmartin did not have a minute to photograph the finished products as we were racing for the last post to make it in time before the deadline Friday 31st March 2023. 

The Junior Room and other staff thought the artwork was exceptional - winners or no winners you all did an amazing job!

Safer Internet Day February 7th 2023

Pupils in Leckaun National Celebrated Safer Internet Day #SID2023 on 7th of February 2023. 

SID Wristbands for all children, content from Webwise was explored by the children and their favourite - Kahoot! Quiz on Online Safety.

Internet Safety is an important aspect of our Anti Bullying Policy and Well Being Initiatives - #SID2023 is only one day, Staying Safe Online is an ongoing theme particularly from 3rd-6th class in our school.
