Jolly Grammar - Past Tense

Today we were noticing how some consonants 'double-up' when putting them in the past tense.

pat - patted
Sam patted the dog.

hug - hugged
I hugged my granny.

bat - batted
The baseballer batted the ball out of the park and got a home run!
