Parents' Association

Tá tuismitheoirí na scoile lán-pháirteach i saol na scoile.

They have formed from among their number a Parents’ Association (P.A.) and they are affiliated to the National Parents' Council (N.P.C.). They meet regularly and present annual accounts. They annually elect and appoint a committee comprised of a Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and P.R.O. They issue minutes of meetings to the Parent body and communicate with parents and teachers through text messages, email and Aladdin.

They organise an annual and by now legendary Christmas Santa Party for all present and prospective school pupils.

They organise post match refreshments and transport their children to school matches, school quizzes and all other activities that take place outside school hours.
They organise medal presentations and assist with school celebrations as well as providing post First Holy Communion refreshments in Newtownmanor Hall.
They fund-raise through coffee mornings, Sponsored Walks, Raffles, Cake Sales, Cash for Clobber Clothes Collection and other activities subject to prior Board of Management approval.

The Parents' Association also organise the Christmas Shoebox Appeal in our school each year. This is a very worthy cause and receives great support from parents and pupils in Leckaun N.S.
