Halloween Fun at School

Michael D. Higgins wins Presidential Election in School Vote Today!

Today at school we voted in our very own Leckaun National School Presidential Election. In the past month we have been learning about the duties of the President of Ireland and the six candidates. Each class was assigned a candidate at random and today the 4th class candidate Michael D. Higgins came in first with 44% of the votes. In second place was Junior and Senior Infants with 27% of the votes was Peter Casey. Gavin Duffy was placed in last position at only 1 vote! We wonder will the result in Leckaun today reflect the result nationally after the count begins tomorrow morning!
