Understand

  • Examine two paintings depicting different moments from Jesus’ passion and death.
  • Reflect on what the artist was communicating in these paintings.
  • Discern why Jesus is referred to as our ‘Saviour’.

Communicate

  • Reflect on and discuss the work of emergency service workers and consider what motivates them to do that work.
  • Share their responses to the artistic depictions of Jesus’ passion and death.
  • Share their responses to a statement from ‘Curious Clare’ and a person of faith.

Participate

  • Work together on assignments relating to the lesson theme.
  • Sing ‘Jesus, Remember Me’ and ‘The Wood of the Cross’.
  • Participate in opportunities for prayer, including the Stations of the Cross.

  • Write a letter to their Confirmation sponsor.
