Today in Leckaun National School we had a special visitor from the Digital Schools of Distinction Team, Noel Sheerin. We were able to show Mr. Sheerin the different ways we use technology in our school. This was demonstrated through video, on our SMART Boards, on the Visualiser, on iPads, artwork and through demonstration of updating our website and Google Apps such as Google calendar and Google Docs integration as used on our website. Pupils and teachers have worked hard over a number of years towards this award.
When Mr. Sheerin left in the afternoon the Senior Room enjoyed PE in the lovely sunny weather and the Junior Room worked on the Big Cat Interactive eBooks on the iPads by reading, recording and creating their own stories. Well done to everyone, what a great day of celebrating technology in our school!
