Oíche Shamhna atá ann.
Cheannaigh Neasa úlla agus cnónna.
Cheannaigh sí bairín breac freisin.
Cheannaigh Ruairí milseáin agus puimcín.
Chuir Mamaí an puimcín ar an bhfuinneog.
Chuir Rossa airgead san uisce.
Bhí cóisir ag na páistí.
“Fuair mé an fáinne!” arsa Neasa.
Bhí áthas uirthí.
Bhí na páisti gléasta suas.
Féach! Cailleach grána, cnámharlach agus taibhse!

Whole School Inspection Report

Open publication - Free publishing - More inspector
Our Whole School Evaluation (WSE) Report has been published on The Department of Education and Skills (DES) website. The report can be sourced under the new 'Find a School' search facility or directly through the Leckaun National School's Page on this site.
The report is very positive and affirms the strengths of our school. It also affirms the work being carried out in the school and beyond. The advice and recommendations given during the week of inspection and in the report were fair and helpful for all involved. All aspects of the school were examined. The three core subjects; English, Gaeilge and Mathematics were examined. The additional subject area examined was Geography.
The inspection took place during the week beginning April 16th 2012 with Senior Divisional Inspector, Marina Ní Threasaigh.

Conn Coinín

At school today we had a special visit from a new member of the Leckaun Community. The photos were taken from our classroom windows.
We have named him Conn Coinín because this is the name of the rabbit in our Gaeilge book. We have to be very quiet or we will scare him away.
