Through the World Wide Web.

What do you get if you cross a tarantula with a rose?
I'm not sure, but I wouldn't try smelling it!

They are always spinning!

What do you call a 100 spiders on a tyre? A spinning wheel!

How do you spot a 21st Century spider?
He doesn't have a web- he has a website!

GAA Training starts this morning

Today we will have the first GAA session with past pupil Seán Watters. We are really looking forward to developing our skills over the coming weeks!

We play with Marla. We made angels, green fairies, volcanoes, tooth fairies, snails, bracelets, doughnuts, footballers and ladybirds.

I made a story about horses. I put all the pages to make a banner. We loved looking at the story today in school!

Shortlisted Best School Website 2013

Our school website has been Shortlisted for Best School Website in the Eircom Junior Spiders in the Mega Spider Category. The competition finalists for 2013 can be viewed on the Junior Spiders website.

This is great news for all the pupils, teachers and school community!

Parents' Association AGM

The AGM of Leckaun P/A will take place in Newtownmanor Hall tonight at 8pm.

Non-uniform day this Friday 26th October. All donations gratefully received. Halloween party will take place in Newtownmanor Hall between 5-7pm on Saturday 27th October.

Upper and Lower Case Letters

We are working on letter formation. It is important to remember where each letter is on the line. We use 'Ground, Grass, Sky' to help us remember where to put our letters. This is part of Jolly Grammar work in 1st and 2nd class.

Weather Reporter

We can report the weather on our interactive whiteboard. We use the Daily Calendar and Weather Reporter. This is today's Daily Calendar we completed at school this morning.

Autumn Art Display

The colours of autumn are red, orange, yellow, gold and brown. We are learning about the red squirrel and the hedgehog. Chestnuts or conkers fall from the Horse Chestnut Tree.
We used our handprints to make out trees and made falling leaves using finger painting. What a super job!
